B.Tech EEE is a 4-year undergraduate course in electrical engineering with a background in electronics engineering.The minimum eligibility for this course requires passing class 12th/ Higher Secondary Examination in Physics and Maths.
B.Tech EEE is designed to provide skills and knowledge about the electrical, electronic and computer-based systems so as to make students successful engineers with a shining career. Most of the PSUs recruit engineers in various posts based on the GATE score.Graduate Aptitude test in engineering(GATE) is an online exam conducted all over India for admission into various NITs and IITs for M.Tech and is also considered as a criteria for selecting candidates for various posts in PSUs.
Some of the good PSUs which offer jobs based on GATE score are:
1.Power grid corporation of India Limited(PGCIL)
2.Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(ONGC)
3.Coal India Limited(CIL)
4.Gas Authority of India Limited(GAIL)
5.National Thermal Power Corporation(NTPC)
6.Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited(BHEL)
And there are also many state PSUs like GENCO,TRANSCO which offer jobs for electrical engineering based on the score in the test conducted by the respective entities.
Apart from these public institutions, there are also a number of private institutions which offer a good package for electrical engineers.If you had acquired some skills regarding problem solving and coding, you might find yourself in a very good position in any software company.And if you feel coding isn't your cup of tea, then also you have many options in hardware industry.There are many hardware companies like xilinx,delta,schneider, siemens etc which are offering a decent package.You can also opt for teaching profession if you are interested in teaching. For this, you have to complete Ph.D from a renounced University.You can also prepare for IES(Indian Engineering Services) and become a civil servant.Also, you can prepare for UPSC exams as well.
