electrical engineering vs electronics and communication (placement)
Hi apsirant!!
It is predicted that the jobs for engineers will grow by 7% from 2016 to 2026. ... The application of ECE in fields, such as satellite and mobile communication, digital telecommunication, power electronics, etc. has created amazing career options. Electrical engineer deal with hardware generally
There is only one factor that electrical is a core branch they can apply for government jobs very easily.
But don't choose branch only on the basis of placement.
Hope this help
Thankyou
Dear Candidate,
Both the branches are good. If you talk of ECE ( Electronics and Communication Engineering ), then this branch has a lot of open scope in both the hardware and software sector. If we talk of the placements in ECE, then these are very nice. In top institutes like IIT's , NIT's the packages reaches in many lakhs. Now taking the case of EE ( Electrical Engineering ) , the students have to deal in electronic devices with high voltages. The main work is in the hardware sector. Placements in EE are also good. The packages goes in many lakhs.
But from these both, ECE is better than EE as ECE comprises of both hardware and software domains and it provide better options both in core and IT industry whereas EE devotes maximum focus on core subject so has deficit in programming. But if you want to join such courses, then don't always see the placements. Choose the branch in which you have the most interest.
Hope it helps.
