• After qualifying GATE examination & the PI round you may appoint as JE (junior Engg) at many central govt sectors like
• BHEL, POWER GRID, NESCO, GAL, etc
• The average income of a person working as JE BHEL is about 2.5 lac something including all govt facilities like a quarter, medical, etc.
• If you are interested in civil services like UPSC then you may try for IES.
• The level of an IES is parallel to an IAS officer.

There are plenty of job opportunities in the govt sectors once you crack the GATE examination thousand of doors will be unlocked for you.
