In order to apply for BDO (Block Development Officer) exam you need to fulfill following criteria:
You must have completed your bechelor's degree in any discipline(arts, science, commerce) from recognized university.
The candidate age limit to apply for the exam is from 21 years to 35 years .There is relaxation in upper age limit provided to the candidates of reserved categories .
AGE RELAXATION :
FOR SC/ST : 5 YEARS
FOR OBC : 3 YEARS
Syllabus generally consisits of following topics
General Knowledge
Elementary Mathematics / Reasoning
Basics of Indian Constitution: Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, Directive Principles of State Policy, State Legislature, Executive and Judiciary.
Good Governance: Efficiency, Transparency, Accountability in Governance, Right to Information Act, Role of Lokayukta.
Current events of State and National importance
Physical, Economic and Social Geography
Social Issues: Corruption, Environment and Women’s issue
