Eligibility for jee mains is taken consideration only 12 th percentage .
Doesn't matter how much you scored in 11 th.
Only 12 th marks will be seen.

I lost two subjects in the examinations due to the covid pandemic In 11th standard and our state board ( Telangana) passed us by giving minimum marks in the examination..
Now we are going to appear for 12th examinations in 2 more months.
Sir , my question is : If I get 80 % in the 12th can I join IIT or NIT after Clearing the JEE MAIN or JEE ADVANCE..? Because I dont have good score in the 11th.
All are saying you can't join if you dont have good Mark's in the 11th..
Now can I join NIT or IIT if I get good Mark's in my present 12th standard..
Please clarify me sir. Because if possible iam thinking to take a dropout in this year and I will attempt the Jee Next year and I will clear the exams and I will get into any unit or IIT. please Clarify me sir...

For NITs, IIITs and CFTIs admissions, the candidates should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards. For SC/ST category, a minimum of 65% marks required. It is important that they must have passed their class 12 examination in 2019 or 2020.For more details visit the link provided below.

No weightage will be given to class XII scores while preparing the merit list of JEE Main. However, you must score more than 75% marks in class XII or should be in top 20 percentile of your respective board examination.
