Elligibility criteria for admission btech branch in jadavpur University? Is 60% in class 12 math necessary? Or aggregriate 60% pcm?

- you have to pass 10+2 from a recognised board in a regular class mode with mathematics, physics & chemistry as compulsory subjects with at least 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD) aggregate marks taken together.
- Pass marks in English with a minimum of 30% marks in 10+2.
Now, according to your question, no 60% in mathematics is not necessary, you have to get agreegate of 60% in PCM.

I do not have 60% in maths but in PCM aggregate i have 70% marks....So I am eligible for jadavpur university right??

The eligibility critria to get admission in Jadavpur University are-
- Candidate must secure a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (45% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates).
- Candidate must also secure a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics (45% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates) and a minimum of 30% marks in English (for all categories of candidates).
So dear you have to score agregate 60% as well as 60% in mathematics.

Hi Samrat, firstly Jadavpur University doesnt provide B.tech degree, it provides B.E degree. Next coming to your query, it is necessary to score atleast 45% aggregate in PCM in class 12 and not 60%. Apart from that, you need to have a rank of below 1000 to get into core departments.

In Jadavpur University, the eligibility criteria is for candidates to score at least 50% in 10+2 from a recognized board. If you have scored an aggregate of 50% or more, you don't have to worry about scoring minimum 60% in Maths.

For getting admission to jadavpur university you have to appear for WBJEE exam and secure the required marks to get admitted along with that,and you need to secure 60% marks in physics ,chemistry and mathematics.
