According to Jadavpur University qualifying marks as eligibility criteria :

• you have to pass 10+2 from a recognised board in a regular class mode with mathematics, physics & chemistry as compulsory subjects with at least 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD) aggregate marks taken together.

• Pass marks in English with a minimum of 30% marks in 10+2.

Now, according to your question, no 60% in mathematics is not necessary, you have to get agreegate of 60% in PCM.

So dear you have to score agregate  60% as well as 60% in mathematics.

Hi Samrat, firstly Jadavpur University doesnt provide B.tech degree, it provides B.E degree. Next coming to your query, it is necessary to score atleast 45% aggregate in PCM in class 12 and not 60%. Apart from that, you need to have a rank of below 1000 to get into core departments.

If you have scored an aggregate of 50% or more, you don't have to worry about scoring minimum 60% in Maths.
