Engineering exams are almost similar in their composition. Almost all exams have a similar syllabus and marking scheme.
The main entrance exams are JEE mains and JEE advanced. Qualifying JEE mains enables you to qualify for giving JEE advanced. These days every college admits students based on their JEE mains result and you can even get into an NIT or an IIT based on your performance.

- MIT Manipal & VIT Vellore (Well Established brand, but huge batch size and fees, management quota in VIT )
- Thapar, Patiala & PSG, Coimbatore (Good brand but huge state quota)
- JIIT Noida, LMNIIT Jaipur & NIRMA Ahmedabad (decent one for CSE), PDPU Gandhinagar (Petroleum)
- Amrita University, SSN Chennai, SASTRA University & CBTI Hyderabad (Promising brand but regional outlook)
- KIIT Bhubaneshwar + SRM Chennai (good choice in 2005–10 but not anymore)

- BITSAT - Application Process: 04 Jan 2019 - 20 Mar 2019. Exam Date: 16 May, 2019 - 26 May, 2019
- VITEEE - Application Process: 28 Oct, 2018 - 28 Feb, 2019. Exam Date: 10 Apr, 2019 - 21 Apr, 2019. Declaration of Result: 25 Apr, 2019 (Tentative)
- WBJEE - Talking about the colleges one can get through WBJEE, the top being Jadavpur university comes within top 15 engineering colleges of India, better than most of the NITs and newer IITs.
- COMEDK - COMEDK has been released the official notification for UGET exam. It is state level exam conducted by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) for admission to B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch courses. This year, COMEDK UGET 2019 is scheduled for May 12 in online (computer-based) mode.
- SRM - SRM University conducts SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) for granting admissions at nearly 7,000 undergraduate engineering seats across its four campuses - Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Ramapuram Part– Vadapalani, and NCR Ghaziabad. Candidates are given admissions to B.Tech programmes on the basis of their SRMJEEE performance.
- SRMJEEE 2018 is a university level entrance test administrated by the SRM University. It is a common entrance test for SRM University (All Campuses). Through SRMJEEE exam, students will get admission in the B.Tech & M.Tech courses. It is mandatory to qualify the SRMEEE exam to get admission in engineering courses.
- MH-CET - All the admissions to engineering colleges in Maharashtra bare based on the MH-CET score. So f you want admission in a college in Maharashtra and you don't have a good JEE score, MH- CET is a very good option for you.
- AMUEEE - Aligarh Muslim University has released the application form of AMUEEE 2019 on February 1 in online mode. The last date to fill the online AMUEEE 2019 application form is March 4. The authorities will conduct AMUEEE 2019 on April 28 in offline mode. All eligible candidates will have to register by filling and submitting the online application form of AMUEEE 2019 which will be available now. Currently, the institute provides around 465 seats in 7 B.Tech courses and around 150 seats in B.E. Evening programmes through AMUEEE. Candidates will be able to download the admit card of AMUEEE 2019 after submitting the required information online two days before the exam will be held. Only the registered candidates will be able to access the admit card. AMUEEE 2019 will be conducted in offline mode and the result will be released in PDF format.
- KIITEE - The difficulty level of the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination (KIITEE) is not very tough. Aspirants just need to develop the strong base of topics of the subject combination for a particular course to crack the examination. he Subjects that you will need to cover are for B.Tech Programme are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Check the Exam pattern of KIITEE, it is very helpful. Know the marking scheme, time duration and question paper pattern:Language: Only English type of Questions: MCQ only
Marking Scheme: for every correct answer you will score 4 marks and for a wrong answer 1 marks will be deducted
Time of the exam: 180 Minutes.
