Hello Dhina !

As well as skills specific to the job youre going for, employers are also looking for general job skills. These are sometimes called employability skills or soft skills. These types of skills will make you stand out.

Even if you dont think you have any job skills, you have these employability skills if youre:

dependable easy to get along with open to learning new things.

These skills might not be listed in the position description, but they are common skills needed to do most jobs. Its good to think about these skills when youre preparing for a job interview.

Different people define these skills in different ways, but generally they can be broken down into these eight categories:

communication

teamwork

problem solving

initiative and enterprise planning and

organising self-management

learning

technology.

Hello Dhina,

As engineering stream is very competitive in today's world it is mandatory requirement to have skills based on what you're studying. These skills will distinguish you from others and helps you to build a good career.Coming to your question I can't say that you must only have skills even if you don't study in a good reputed College also the otherwise. If you're are in a good college there will be campus recruitments which will take you to the job world if you're skillful.

If you're not in a good college even when you're skillful, you may have to search job on your own.So I just conclude that both skills and studying in a good college will definitely help you in building up a wonderful career.

I hope this helped you.

Best of luck!

Hello,

It depends on both the things. Company looks for smart and dedicated people. There are many situations where a high scoring students are not selected but a normal scoring students are placed. But your skills are very important. Even if it's not campus placement then outside of college it's always your skills helping you to get the opportunity. For college placements the companies always enter into well reputed college searching for good skills and dedicated student.

Hope this may help you out.

Hello Dhina,

The jobs only depends on the skills that a student possess.

College is not a matter of concern at any point but the abilities of an individual do matter a lot.

A student from normal private college can earn a lot better than others. The only condition is that he must be capable of doing that.

One can even apply for many companies off campus where colleges play no role..

Hello,

Mainly, getting a job depends on a student's skill and knowledge. But sometimes a top college can help you to get placed in a top MnC like Google, Microsoft, etc.

Develop skills during the college time and use that skill to get placed in a top notch company.

Good luck.
