It is not compulsory for CAT but you will nevertheless need it during the interview process. So better start preparing spoken english. Its not as tough as you consider. Start practising from today.

English is one the subject of CAT examination. It is an important subject. You should basic English at least. It will create an good impression if you can speak English.
