Wildlife Institute of India MSc Selection Procedure
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written NET in any one of the centres Bengaluru, Dehra Dun, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi and Guwahati
The NET will be for 2.5 hours
The test will have 30 marks multiple choice questions on General Awareness including Current affairs, Quantitative Skills, Geology, Geography, Sociology, Economics and Engineering
40 marks multiple choice questions in wildlife sciences including natural history, biogeography, ecology, genetics, vegetation science, population ecology, habitat ecology, behavioural ecology, conservation biology, wildlife health
30 marks essay questions covering conservation issues
Shortlisted meritorious candidates based on NET screening will be called to take a personality and aptitude test (PAT) at Dehra Dun
Final selection to the course will be made on the basis of combined merit of 50% marks obtained in the bachelors degree examination and 50% of PAT
Admit Card
The admit card for entrance examination will be sent to the candidates by speed post
Course Fee
The Course Fee for the entire course is: Indian Nationals - INR 532800; SAARC Nationals - US $ 13200; Other Nationals - US $ 14400; the Institute provides full scholarship to eight Indian students based on their selection merit
The scholarship covers academic fee, hostel accommodation fee and a monthly stipend
The breakup of the scholarships for Indian nationals will be: General-04; SC-01; ST-01 and OBC-02; other candidates (Indian and Foreign) selected for the course will be treated as self-sponsored
