NEP 2020 states that
- It intends for a 100% Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) in school education by the end of the decade.
- encourages open education program
- The established 10+2 system to be reinstated to the 5+3+3+4 system is interrelated to ages 3-8, 8-11, 11-14, and 14-18 years respectively.
- the modern strategy will have 12 years of school pedagogy and three years of Anganwadi/pre-schooling.
- mother tongue/ local language to be educated till 5th standard when the learner is at pre-schooling age will be apple very and every learner
- Intends to bridge the gap between science, commerce, and humanities streams.
