Greetings,
No, there is no such obligation to do a course on ethical hacking after BCA and if you want then you can do it alongside your BCA by enrolling yourself into one of the reputed online or offline courses on ethical hacking and cyber security.
The course fees as well as duration varies from place to place, some popular ethical hacking certifications are offered by:
- GIAC Certified Penetration Tester by SAN & GIAC )expensive course costing upward of 1000 dollars)
- Certified Ethical Hacker - EC Council (expensive course above 1,000 dollars)
There are not many good Indian certification bodies for this course but you can find some small institutes that offer certificates for ethical hacking
The average duration of such courses can vary from 3 months to 2 years as per your level of expertise and certification value.
If you prefer then you can also join a local ethical hacking course in your city (if there is one available) which will cost your less and the duration will also probably be shorter.
The average cost can be anywhere between 8,000Rs. to 50,000 Rs., once again as per the course you decide to join.
Bottom line is : no matter the price or duration of the course (unless you want to apply for a job in that field in which case you should go for a long and reputed course) you can learn the fundamentals of ethical hacking, network security, data management and internet ethics but your expertise will depend upon your personal practice at home. Watch some YouTube videos on ethical hacking (there are tons of 10 hour long videos which teach the same thing as local ethical hacking classes) and do some research on your preferences.
good luck
