Ethics, integrity & aptitude : they are included in UPSC exam but sir/Ma'am I have an doubt what they are please explain me in detail ?
Hello Shivani,
GS Paper 4 - Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude
This paper judges the wisdom and moral conception of the candidate.
It also checks if the candidate has aptitude and values for surviving and successfully performing his duties as a civil servant. Thus, this step would theoretically make every new recruit ethical and moral with high integrity values.
Ethics is the wonderful subject brought by UPSC in the CSE. It's essential to understand the basic concepts first. Once you know the concepts well, since the paper is based on case studies, you may find various case studies in day to day life, apply those concepts on these case studies.
Learning ethics daily thus would be an interesting journey.
There are various books on ethics, including one published by McGraw Hills.
Enjoy ethics. Learn the subject to lead life with integrity.
Good luck!
