Hi, your answer; As the name indicates, at a cartilaginous joint, the adjacent bones are united by cartilage, a tough but flexible type of connective tissue. These types of joints lack a joint cavity and involve bones that are joined together by either hyaline cartilage or fibrocartilage.

Hyaline cartilage which is found as the embryonic skeleton, costal cartilages, cartilage of the nose, trachea, lining of the ends of some bones and the larynx. Elastic cartilage which is found in the external ear and epiglottis.

I hope you have got your answer.

Good Luck.
