Hello,

As a diploma holder you are eligible for lateral entry for btech ie you directly join in second year of your course.DTE publishes a notifications around the month of June/July which specifies all details after which you go through a counselling process and based on your choice and your marks you are allotted a college for btech ,directly in 2nd year.

However if you want to join IIT/NIT you have to go through jee mains and advanced and clear them as there is no lateral entry in IIT/NIT

Hello dear student !

Diploma holders can apply for B. Tech in various colleges by appearing in  entrance examinations . You can appear in IIT JEE , AIEEE and other examinations and by securing good marks in these examinations you can get enrolled into good engineering colleges for B. Tech. .
