Correct Answer: 6 mins
Solution : Given, Excluding stoppages, the speed of a bus is 60 kmph. Including stoppages, it is 54 kmph. The average speed (including stoppages) = 45 kmph We know, Distance = speed × time taken So in 1 hr, distance travelled = 54 km The average speed (excluding stoppages) = 60 kmph At this speed, time is taken by bus to travel 45 km = $\frac{54}{60}=\frac{9}{10}$ hours = 54 minutes So at a speed of 60 km/hr, the bus can travel a distance of 54 km every 54 minutes. For every hr, the bus stops for = 60 – 54 = 6 minutes Hence, the correct answer is 6 mins.
