It would have been easier for me to give a better feedback had you mentioned for category and home state. Anyways I am assuming it to general, so as per your rank it could be a hard time finding a college with a preferred course.
Hence I will recommend you to apply for alternate engineering examination like jee advanced,bits etc which will be held lately and try perform better there. You can still try applying for josaa counselling and wait till the later rounds and hope to get some college.

AS per the information provided by you which shows that your rank in JEE Mains is around 81000, It may be very difficult for you to get into any NITs/IIITs in JoSAA counselling. Usually the lowest cutoff for NITs/IIITs in JoSAA hangs around 40,000- 45,000 maximum.(in CRL/General Rank)
However , it is advised to you to kindly register and apply for state level counselling or private level counseling like that of SRM, or IPU etc which take JEE Scores into consideration for their admission.
