Hi,

The percentile which you will expect to get depend on factors like number of student appeared in particular year, category, difficulty level of exam etc.

So to tell tue exact percentile you can get is difficult. However with the help of previous years percentile data analysis you can have an idea about the percentile which you can expect.

So if a general category student get 180 marks in paper 1 you can expect an overall percentile in the rang 99.37 - 99.57. with this percentile you can expect  rank in between 3782 - 5432.

So you can expect a good percentile. To check the colleges which you can get with this percentile you can refer the college predictor tool.

Hope it helps.

180 marks in Jee Main paper 1 means you can expect a percentile in the range of 99.37 to 99.57 which means your expected rank would be around 3700 to 5400. But this is your expected rank as the actual rank depends on various deciding factors such as your category, number of students appeared in the exam, highest score obtained etc. You haven't mentioned your category so we have considered you as a general category candidate. With this rank, you can surely get into NITs but getting CSE in top NITs might be difficult as the CSE seats of those NITs lie around 3000 rank. However, you can get other branches such as Civil, electrical in top NITs such as Warangal, Surathkal, Nagpur, Rourkela, Trichy etc. However you haven't mentioned your home state quota. You can expect CSE in NITs such as Jalandhar, Raipur, Patna, Silchar, Uttarakhand etc. However this is based on previous years' data and this year it might change. You can predict your college through our Jee Main College Predictor tool Also check the cutoffs of various NITs here http://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

ravi.devansh Apart from the brand name of NIT, MNIT Jaipur is one of the finest NITs for Computer Science Engineering. The placement record is pretty good. Various companies such as Amazon, Walmart, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Oracle etc come for recruitment with an average package of around 7 to 8 lpa.
