Hello candidate,

All the groups of the periodic table have elements which are similar to its group characteristics, on the basis of their reactivity and other properties.

The group one of the periodic table is known as alkali metals which have electron donating tendency, the second group is known as alkaline earth metals. After this, there is a d block of elements which have slightly different nature as compared to normal compounds on the basis of their reactivity and valency. Group 17 are known as halogens which are highly electronegative in nature, and group 18 are known as noble metals which are mostly chemically inert or unreactive under normal conditions.

Hope that it helps you!!
