1. Reading a single word at a time

The majority of people can read proficiently and quickly using only the methods they initially mastered as children. One way you might still use from time to time is to pace beneath each line with your index finger. However, people start to read much more slowly and concentrate intently on one word at a time as they feel this will enhance their comprehension rates as we are needed to become more detailed with our information.

2. Reading everything similarly

Undoubtedly, reading at the same speed is advantageous. Well, not quite, even if it might seem strange at first. However, reading something that you find exceedingly simple to understand is rarely worthwhile, especially if it contains knowledge you already possess. Similarly, reading more slowly during tricky passages saves you from having to go back and read the text, which is one of the most time-wasting terrible reading habits that many people have (regression).

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
