the main function of the union parliament is that it works as the highest law-making body in the country, the seventh schedule of the Indian constitution provides information about three lists on which the union parliament works are-1. union list, 2. state list, and 3. concurrent list.
*Important subjects of the union list are- Defence, army, international relations, highways, ports, railways, and communication.
*Important subjects of the concurrent list are- Education, forest, trade unions, marriage, adoption, and succession.
*Legislative power- Its main power is that it can enact laws and power to regulate the rights of the people as per the Indian constitution.
