A diode laser which makes use of different semiconductor materials on the two sides of the junction is known as heterojunction diode laser. Heterojunction laser is made from different crystalline materials. They have high power output and they have continuous output. They are costlier similarly they have more life. Some of the examples are GaAs, In P.
