Mitosis..initially till it reaches gastrula stage..thereafter after differentiation into germ cells only the germ cells undergo meiosis where is all the vegetative cells of the body continue to undergo only the process of mitosis and retain the deployed number of chromosomes where is haploid number of chromosomes will be seen during the secondary divisions in the germ cells only
