For a reaction the energy of activation is zero,what is the value of rate constant at 300k,if k=1.6×10^6 sec^-1 at 298k.(R=8.31 J mol^-1 K^-1)

Hey!

As we know, equation of rate of constant k is,

K = Ae^[-(Ea/RT)]

When activation energy is zero (given) then , the term

e^(-Ea/RT) becomes equal to 1.

Aluo, rate of constant does not depend on temperature,  therefore k will remain same

That is

K= 1.6+10^-6 sec^1 (at 298k and 300k)

Thank you
