Hi aspirant, according to my survey you may or may not eligible for writing JEE adv exam because the percentile what you scored is close to the cutoff or below cutoff. It all depends on the official cutoff mark of JEE mains 2020. Wish you best of luck.

Hello aspirant,
You have not specified your category in which you belong to so I assume to be in general category. Yes , it is right that you have to score such marks to get qualified for Jee Advanced as in general category at around 88 percentile you should get qualified as for last year and it depends on number of students and exam difficultly level, and at 81 it looks very difficult . But if you have a category like Obc, SC ,St you can get qualified based on your category rank . So, at 81 percentile category rank may get you qualified because of category rank if you have. Hope it will help you.

Hi,

The qualifying cutoff required for appearing in jee advance is declared by NTA.

The qualifying cutoff depend on factors like number of student appeared, category, the difficulty level of exam etc

However with the analysis of previous years cutoff we can estimate the expected cutoff for the current year. The expected jee main qualifying cutoff percentile for the year 2020 is as -

Common Rank List (CRL) - 88 to 90

General EWS - 76 to 79

Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 72 to 75

Sc /st - 40-55

As you have not mentioned your category if we consider you as a general category candidate it seems tough for you to qualify the jee main to appear for jee advance.

However final cutoff will be released by NTA after the examination for april sessions gets over. So soon you can see the actual cutoff on the official website of Nta.

Hops it helps.
