For cbse students., what are the waysfor them to join engineering
Hello Nireshganth!
- There are many entrance exams for India's engineering colleges. But the major exam of all of them is JEE Mains. It tests the student on three subjects: Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. The syllabus is same as that of classes XI & XII, as prescribed by CBSE. Those who opt for B.Arch, also have to sit for a second paper which tests the candidate on 3 subjects: Mathematics, Aptitude & Drawing.
- If you get the required qualifying marks, then you can also sit for JEE Advanced which is the entrance examination for admission into the IITs.
- There are also engineering entrance examinations conducted by states like AP EAMCET, KCET, MHT CET etc. for admissions into their state engineering colleges. So you can sit the entrance exam conducted by your respective test.
- Also, many private institutions hold their own entrance examination. For example Birla Institute of Technology and Science holds BITSAT for admision into B.Tech courses.
Hope this helps!
For CBSE students the only way to join central government engineering colleges is through JEE(Joint Entrance Exam) Mains and for IITs JEE Advanced. For joining state govt engineering colleges is through the state JEE exam and for other top private enigneering colleges is through their special entrance tests. :)
