Please note that the number of opportunities after class 12 are far more in number and quality than afetr your Diploma. Also, after you complete your Diploma, engineering remains your only choice whereas after class 12, you can alos opt to change your stream.
Students who complete their class 12 are quite more better in Mathematics and aptitude skills than students who complete diploma. But the technical skills of diploma students are more as compared to class 12 students as they have more practical skills .

Also there are too many options for class 12 students for engineering as compared to seats after Diploma.
After you complete your Diploma, you become eligible for some engineering jobs but after you complete your 12, you are not eligible for engineering jobs.

If you have made up your mind that engineering is the only career option you want to pursue then go for diploma. It would be helpful for you to pursue graduation in engineering after you completing diploma.

But if you are stuck with options and if you want to keep more career choices to choose then go for 11th and 12th education. Diploma in engineering is only restricted to engineering stream. You cant choose any other career option apart from engineering if you pursue diploma. But if you go for 11,12 education then you have a wide range of career options available.
