For iiit bhibaneswar how to apply other than odisha candidates

Bhubaneswar is one of the prestigious government-funded technical institutions in India. At present, the institution offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. While the Bachelors and Masters degrees are offered in the field of Engineering and Technology,PhD is offered under several streams viz. engineering, humanities and management.



For admission to B.Tech, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of JEE Mainrank.



For B.Tech, 50% of the seats are reserved for Odisha State Students whereas 50% seats belong to Open To All quota.



For students from all over India, counselling is conducted by JoSAA/CSAB.



For students from Odisha category,IIIT conducts own counselling.



Selection of candidates for M.Tech is done on the basis of GATE score or Entrance test conducted by IIIT.



Admission to Doctoral programmes is done on the basis of performance inWritten Test, Literature review & Presentation and Interview.



Candidates can applyfor B.Tech through theofficial registration portalof IIIT Bhubaneshwar.









You might be confusing with the IIIT’s which are centrally funded. All the “International” IIIT’s have their separate admission process for the bachelor’s program. The admissions will only be based on the JEE Mains score.



So in short no, it won’t be available on the JOSAA site.



You can find if you are selected for each round of application after you have registered in the website. If you are, you need to go the Institute and complete the admission process. It will be good if you have a look in the admission brochure for the details.



IIIT’s are of two types. The first are the ones which have “Indian” as the first “I”. They are centrally funded and admission is through the CSAB counselling.



The second are the ones which follow the PPP(Public Private Patnership) model. These follow their own admission procedure independent of CSAB. The institutes belonging to this category are IIIT Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore et al.





I will first tell you about pre requisites for admission to IIIT Bhubaneswar. I am assuming that you are seeking admission to the B.tech program. You first need to appear for jee main exam. Please note that admission to B.tech program is only through jee main exam.



Try to score as much as you can in jee main because cutoffs may increase. If you want CSE then, try scoring above 165. Other branches cutoffs may be 10–20 marks less.



Now you have to fill the admission form available on the website of IIIT Bhubaneswar



After this step you will have to wait for counselling. This is an online process in which you will be allotted a branch as per your prefference and merit. Counselling dates will be informed later. For now I advice you to concentrate on jee main exam and score as much as you can. Also keep track of deadlines for admission in several colleges.
