The option of online and offline is for the candidates welfare since some of them have a good habit of writing online exams and some are good for paper pen based exams.
So depending on your comfort with the usage of computers you can opt for the mode of examination. Since most of the 12th students do not prefer online since the management of time is more important in online exam they would rather opt for offline exam.
I hope this might help you.
All the best.
Hey
It depends on the candidate, if he/she can take it to its advantage or not.
If you have given all mocks/sample tests offline, I would suggest you to go for offline mode. As it is important to be at ease in those 3 hours to attempt paper in the best possible way. You must be completely familiar with the process.
For those who want to go for the online mode. I would recommend them to please give a few mocks online, which have same/similar pattern and give AIR's. So that you can be familiar and plan those 3 hours accordingly.
Other than this - it comes down to your personal preparation. As complexity of the questions asked is similar.
Actually it depends upon you if you are comfortable in giving the offline exam with pen and paper then go for the offline exam otherwise if you can sit in front of the computer continuously for 3 to 4 hours then go for online exam
but by the way online exam has some advantages first thing is that you would get one week to 2 week extra time for the preparation and also there is a option for changing the answers in your computer based test third thing is that you can put the flag on any questions in which you find some questions doubtful then you can return later to that question for solving if you have time in the end
Good luck
