Hi, M.Sc. Botany is a 2-year postgraduate course in Botany. It is a discipline which is all about the thorough scientific study of plant life. For eligibility purposes, a candidate should pass B.Sc. Degree or equivalent with a recommended score from any recognized university.
Admission to DU in M.Sc in Botany is both entrance based and merit based.
M.Sc Botany(Entrance based): B.Sc. Programme Life Science / B.Sc.( Genl ./ Prog) / B.Sc. (Pass) / B.Sc. Life Science (3 Years course after 10+2) from the University of Delhi or any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to DU(55% or above marks in aggregate or grade equivalent). B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany/B.Sc. (Hons.) Biological Sciences from DU or any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to DU(55% or above marks in aggregate or grade equivalent).
M.Sc Botany(Merit based): B.Sc. (Hons.) Biological Sciences (3Years Course after 10+2)/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany from DU only(60% or above marks in aggregate or grade equivalent)
The admission process for PG courses has already begun. The date regarding admit card or exam is not yet declared. Nvertheless, exams will be conducted between 22nd June 2019 and 2nd July 2019.
You don't need 12th standard marks to fulfill the eligibility criteria, but you might be required to attach the mark sheet as one of the documents in the admission form.
