NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) UG is conducted (by NTA - National Testing Agency) to grant admission in medical colleges in India. The courses (as offered by these colleges) you can pursue (based on merit) via NEET UG include MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BSc. Nursing, BVSc. and AH.
NEET UG Eligibility Criteria -
- must be 17 years of age (due to pending case in Supreme Court, as of now, there is no upper age limit)
- minimum 50% aggregate marks in Class 12 (in PCB - Physics, Chemistry, Biology) if you belong to general candidate OR 40% aggregate marks if you belong to SC/ST/OBC/Reserved-PH OR 45% aggregate marks if you belong to Unreserved- PH)
NEET UG Qualifying Percentile -
- General Category - 50th Percentile
- SC/ST/OBC - 40th Percentile
- General-PwD - 45th Percentile
- SC/ST/OBC-PwD - 40th Percentile
