Akshay,

You do not need to take mathematics classes to clear NEET. But if you are facing problems with your numericals in Physics you can try solving few portions of maths with proper guidance so that you do not waste your time solving uneccesary questions.

Also try to find out the easier ways to keep your concepts crystal clear as it will help you in the longer run.

hi akshay , you dont need maths to be eligible write neet exam,

To fulfill the NEET eligibility criteria 2018, candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English. The candidates belonging to General Category should score a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 or HSC examination.

Candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes (OBC) should score a minimum of 40% in their Class 12 or HSC examination.

For persons with locomotor disability of lower limbs, a minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required

There are basically 3 subjects namely

  • PHYSICS-45 questions (25%weightage)
  • CHEMISTRY-45 questions(25% weightage )
  • BIOLOGY ( BOTANY & ZOOLGY )-90 questions(50% weightage )

Hello Akash,

Maths is not a criteria for neet.

You have numerical in physics, but you donot required maths to solve them. If you have the basic background of maths in your 10th grade. You will.be able to solve the numericals in physics.

Goodluck.

Hope this helps.

Look it's no need to take maths for the physics subject there is as so no much relationship of mathematics in the physics as said by many people around I too didn't opt for maths in both 11 th and 12the still I got my dream completed so .And as per I experienced there is no worth opt entire maths for physics look in physics few basics of mathematics are only required like the integration disintegration log etc rest all the trignometry and mathematics upto the class 10 th level thats it if you knew this much mathematics you have no problem while doing physics questions.

Hello Akshay,

Due to the same dilemma I took maths along with biology for first one and a half months of my 11th standard but after that I was very sure that I don't need to study maths because in physics initial chapters of 11th standard are the applied mathematics and in those physics chapters almost all the main concepts of applied mathematics  are covered that are going to use in both 11th and 12th class physics.

In my opinion you should only choose mathematics if you're thinking about JEE and all but without any doubts one can get through physics without  maths.

Good luck

Thanks

Hii Akshay, It is not at all necesary that u takeup maths in HSC  inorder to apply for NEET.U have to take only PCB.And for the purpose of answering physics questins simple mathematical steps and some chaptrs like Integration are only required, which u can take the help of ur friends....So if u are into medical field and u are not intending to write engineering exams, then dont waste time by studying maths....hope this helps u...all the best!!

Math is not a necessary subject for NEET. All questions of physics will be formulated so that they can be solved based on the mathematical concepts taught in physics itself. Do not waste your time studying math. Focus on theory and keep practising MCQs

11th and 12th maths supplement your physics. But they are not too necrssary. If you are in 10 th now and want to appear NEET, then i would suggest you take mathematics along with PCB.It will b more helpful.

Hi Akshay Patil,

Maths is not mandatory at all. You will only need it at some specific points and you need to remember only the specific topic otherwise you can cram them directly without having an additional subject as burden.

You just need to learn some basic concept of mathematics like integration differentiation, etc. in physics.

Otherwise there are a lot of aspirants achieving their goals without having mathematica as an additional subject.

All the Best

First of all there is no absolute necessity of mathematics a particular chapters in mathematics for the purpose of solving physics as per Neet curriculums.

Yes unless you do not to know the basics of differentiation, integration, trigonometry and a bit of vector calculation some problems of mechanics electromagnetism and other such topics.

The concept of utilising mathematics in physics mainly lies in the domains of solving vector related electro mechanical problems so if you do that chapter well in mathematics it might be of aid in Physics

Yes up to a particular level mensuration in the form of cylinders, cone also help you with the mechanical problems in physics because the rest is essentially more or less simple arithmetic and algebra including a bit of Arithmetic  mean and geometric mean at times.

Essentially in order to crack medical, you are main priority will be organic chemistry, some important balancing parts in inorganic chemistry and more often than not entirely revolves around your proficiency in Biology  essentially in order to crack medical, you are main priority will be organic chemistry, some important balancing parts in inorganic chemistry and more often than not entirely revolves around your profession see in Biology - systematic studying of zoology, details of some animals physiological systems as well as latest informations on biotechnology as well as plant physiology.

So I think pay more attention to question solving on a time bound basis link special stress on chemistry and Biology and I think the physics could be managed as I already instructed.

Hope this helps thank you
