for qualifying neet, shall we need to qualify in each subject

NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Hello,
There is no sectional cut off in NEET. So you don't need to score minimum marks in each subjects. However, you need to score the overall minimum cut off marks to qualify in NEET.In 2019 the cut off was as follows for each category
- General: 134-701
- General pwd: 120-133
- SC/ST/OBC: 107-133
- SC/ST/OBC pwd: 107-119
In this year the cut off may increase or decrease depending on number of candidates appeared, number of seats available etc.
Hi
There's no concept of sectional cutoff in Neet examination i.e there are no separate cutoff for each of physics chemistry and Biology in NEET, the cutoff is for aggregate of marks in physics chemistry and biology obtained by you in the neet examination.
For example,
NEET 2019 cut off marks for different categories is provided below:-
Category cutoff percentile cut off marks
General 50 704- 134
General PH 45 133-120
Obc/Sc/st 40 133- 107
But cut off marks vary every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.
So , try to get at least 20-30 marks more in comparison of neet 2019 in your neet 2020 to clear cut off
But , just clearing cut off marks will not help you If you want to get a seat in a Government medical College.
So, if you are from general category , try to get at least 550 marks or more in NEET 2020 examination
Thankyou
