The general eligibility for WBJEE 2021 is that you should have a minimum aggregate of 45% in PCM for a general category student. For a reserved category student the minimum percentage required is 40% aggregate in these subjects.

Apart from this, as you have mentioned the institute specific criteria is 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. This percentage includes your theory marks as well as practical marks. Hence your overall percentage in these subjects should be 60% or above. Apart from this, you should also have passed in theory as well as practical exams individually.

Hi

Your theory+practical marks is considered, means practical is also included but yes you should have passed in both theory and practical examination.

Also,

To be eligible for wbjee you don't need 60 % , you need at least 45 %  in 12th if yoy are from general category.

For your reference,

WBJEE eligibility criteria given below:-

To be eligible:-

-) You must be either appearing for 12th or should have passed your 12th from a recognised board with at least 45 %  or at least 40% in case of reserved category in aggregate of Physics and Maths and any one of the following subjects given below -

*Chemistry

*Biology

*Biotechnology

*Computer Science

*Computer Application

-) you must have studied and passed English in your 12th board examination and should have got at least 30% marks in it

-) you should be at least 17 years old by 31st December of the year of examination .

-) there is no upper age limit except for Marine Engineering for which upper age limit is 25 years old as on 31st December of the year of examination

-) to be eligible for admission in government college or reserved seats in state aided and self financing college you must be domicile of West Bengal domicile .Non - domicile students can get admission in unreserved seats in state adided and self financing colleges , they cannot get admission in government college

*eligibility to be domicile of West Bengal

-) one should be the permanent residence of West Bengal for at least 10 years as on 31st December of the year of examination

-) one will be also considered domicile if his or her parents are permanent residents of West Bengal and also have permanent residential address  in the state the state of West  Bengal

The eligibility criteria of Jadavpur University to be eligible for B tech is given below

  • You  must have passed 10+2 / equivalent  with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 60% marks  or 45%  aggregate marks ( theory + practical) in case if you are from reserved category

  • You must have passed each subject separately ( including both theory and practical). You must have also got atleast 30% marks in English.
