There are different kinds of domicile certifictates. While one type is for candidates who are residents of the state and have passed their Class 12 from the state, there is another type which is for candidates who are not residents of the state and have completed 12 from another state but their parents are residents of the state. There are are furhter more types of domicile. Please check them out carefully and see which one is applicable to you. Once you obtain a domicile, you will be eligible for the counselling from the very first round. But, be careful. Don't apply for domicile and the 85% state quota of two states or more. Otherwise it will lead to the cancellation of your candidature. You can apply for the domicile and 85 percent state quota of ONLY ONE STATE.
