From where should a class 11th student start if he /she want to becoming an IT . Country: India, Education Board: CBSE, STREAM: Commerce.

Hi Dear,

If you are referring to Information Technology by IT then Science stream would have been a better choice for you. However, Since you are a commerce student, You can go for Bachelor's of commerce in Information Technology or BCA after your 12th. Also, You should take computer Application or Information Technology as your optional subject.

I have one more doubt .
What if I do computer science course from somewhere else , rather than school .
Will it be ok ?

Kunal Nath Yes, but you'll not be able to get into engineering courses. You'll be able to get into BCA and other computer application programmes accepting commerce.
