Hello,
Questions asked from inorganic chemistry are mostly memory based. There are many good books for inorganic chemistry like J.D. LEE, Concise Inorganic chemistry, OP Tondon,Prabhath Kumar but it is very difficult to memorize and remember key points as inorganic has very little to do with understanding of concept. So in pursuit of remembering too many things you fail to focus or master important ones as these books are lengthy and also cover unimportant topics. NCERT books on other hand are bounded and definite thus making it easy to remember and reproduce key points and facts.NCERT language is quite easy to understand and there is almost no chance of any error while other books can’t guarantee you that”.
One can totally rely on NCERT. What i mean by this is that different books may have different information or explanation for same question so when you answer a question and find different books contradicting each other you can just go with NCERT as paper setters usually follow NCERT.So NCERT is always SAFE to follow..
Good luck.
NCERT IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOK FOR JEE MAINS. YOU GO THROUGH LINE BY LINE AND ALSO SOLVE ALL QUESTIONS FROM NCERT BOOK AND THEN GO THROUGH PREVIOUS YEAR JEE MAINS AND JEE ADVANCED QUESTIONS I ASSURE YOU THAT YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET 360 OUT OF 360.
AND FOR JEE ADVANCED THERE ARE PLENTY OF BOOKS BUT I WILL SUGGEST YOU TO STICK TO FEW BOOKS LIKE
FOR PHYSICS- HC VERMA(IF YOU ARE DONE WITH HC VERMA THEN GO FOR IRODO) AND PREVIOUS YEAR QUESTION BANK.
FOR MATHS-ARIHANT SERIES FOR MATHEMATICS(IF YOU ARE DONE WITH THIS THEN YOU CAN GO FOR McGRAW HILL)
FOR CHEMISTRY- FIRST PRIORITY TO NCERT IF YOU ARE DONE WITH NCERT THEN YOU CAN GO FOR SOLOMON FRYHLE FOR ORGANIC CHEMISTRY,OP TONDON FOR PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY AND JD LEE FOR INORGANIC CHEMISTRY.
ncert book is best book fo jee main, read all book theroly and then find out exceptional cases which are highlighted in book. make out notes for chemistery.
after this you can see op tandan as well as last year question paper solve within time limit as practices.
The book has good conceptual knowledge and very neat presentation making it lucid to grasp all fundamentals.
You can also refer Numerical Chemistry by P. bahadur which is very much recommended for Numericals and different types of complexity.
If you still have time for more preparation you can have a lokk at book by Morrison and Boyd for Organic Chemistry.
Revision will be of utmost importance and attempting mocks is very critical to score well.
Make sure your Fundamentals are clear before givibg mock exams.
Shall you need more deatils feel free to ask out.
You should solve all the questions which are given in NCERT book after each chapter.
For practice you can solve MS Chauhan and OP Tandon book.
You can also solve previous year papers to know the pattern and level asked in the exam.
