Yes, you can go for Ayurveda i. e Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) after your 10+2.

------) it's duration is 5.5 years (4.5 +1 year of mandatory internship)

------) Admission is through neet examination

------) During the course you learn to  treat disease  to Ayurvedic treatment i. e using herbs ,along with use of modern medicine.

Here's, how you can apply i. e get into BAMS

*Fill neet application form and appear in Neet examination.

Your Neet 2021 application form will be released on 13th july 5 pm at its official website i. e  neet.nta.nic.in  while your neet 2021 examination will be conducted on 12th September 2021. Details are at

  • To be eligible you should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology /biotechnology in 12th examination  if belongs to general category , or   at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category. *Qualify neet examination. Qualifying cut off in neet is given below

  • General :- 50th Percentile

  • OBC:-  40th Percentile

  • SC :-40th Percentile

  • ST :-  40th percentile

To be on the safer side, target around 480 + marks for BAMS in a government college if you are from general category.

*Participate in neet counselling. There are 2 counsellings -

  • Ayush  counselling by AYUSH Admission Central Counselling Committee (AACCC)  :- It is conducted for 15% AIQ seats,

  • state counselling for 85% state quota seats
