Hello student,

The camel's hump stores fat as nourishment when food is scarce during emergency. The camel's hump also helps in regulating the body temperature of camel in deserts, where temperatures can be extremely high during the day and drop drastically at night.

Thanks

Dear student,

Camels are one of the fascinating animals in world that can walk nearly 40 days in desert just by drinking water for one time.

Now, many people think that a camel's hump is used to stores fat. But it is not correct.
Actually the fact is - A camel's hump is used to store fat. And the water is stored in the camel's bloodstream.
The camel uses fat as nourishment when food is not available. If a camel uses the fat inside the hump, the hump will become low an it will come down. But again with proper food and rest the hump will return to it's normal size.
