Civil Engineering has very good scope in the future. It is one of the oldest and fastest growing branch in Engineering.

Career after Civil engineering is highly rewarding. It has lesser unemployment rate in comparison to other branches.

Below is the estimated salary package of civil engineers

IIT Students Starting salary around 6 to 7 lakhs

Private Engineering students starting salary around 2 to 3 lakhs

It has wider scope but you must have innovative and creative skills with good computer, mathematics and science knowledge. There is a huge demad for civil engineers in India and it will be grow in coming years as country will upgrade its infrastructure. The career for government sector will open lots of opportunities. It will be eyually good for private sector as well.
