Industrial engineering is all about designing and managing methods and procedures to increase productivity, quality and efficiency in manufacturing process. The increasing complexity of industrial operations and the expansion of automated processes in factories and offices is contributing to the demand for industrial engineers .Now days industrial engineering is highly demanding and it will growth rapidly because after 2-3 years mostly manufacturing companies are started their companies in Indian base .Because mostly every industries are not ready to start their work in China now days and it is good sign for India as well as Industrial engineers .
Apart from that there different carrer option after complete your course such as

Hey dear, there is a lot to gain in industrial engineering, not many of the colleges offer this course but i think it should be implemented in every engineering college. Students think it is just a subject for only one semester, but it is itself a study of management of industry. As far as its scope in future is concerned, you can fit into almost any company or sector if you have a good knowledge of it. You can just consider it same as mechanical engineering for easy understanding , both are evergreen branch.
