Hi,
In case of GATE examination, the negative marking is decided according to marks in each question. Suppose there is an MCQ question which carries 1 mark, then on giving the wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted. Similarly for MCQ which carries 2 marks, 2/3 marks will be deducted on giving wrong answer. However, there are no negative marking in case of numerical answer type questions.
