Yes Syllabus of Gate and PGECET are almost same. I can say 90-95% of the gate syllabus is included for pgecet. In pgecet exam just one or two topics may vary and that depends on Osmania university UG's syllabus. But you need to know this things also, pgecet exam is much easier than gate exam. For Gate exam you need to focus on problematic, conceptual and applications part where as for pgecet exam need to focus on theoretical part as well as problematic Part( just rough calculation problems are enough)
