Hello candidate.Actually it is easy to get cgpa greater than 9 in Btech 1st year.The only you need to do is you must work hard.Do more practice.Not only subjects but you must also work hard for the labs. Refer the text books,not the materials given by the faculty.Read the prescribed text book so that you can collect more information. These things make you to score cgpa greater than 9.

It's not very tough. But it depends on the University you are studying in. Because some universities like West Bengal University of Technology, have a lot many students getting a 9 cgpa whereas in some colleges the maximum cgpa students can get is 6 or 7.

But you can definitely study well to perform better. You can do some online courses to enhance your knowledge or follow the NPTEL lectures.
