It has been announced by the Board of Governors - Medical Council of India, that postgraduates from any country across the globe will be allowed to practice medicine in India and will be hired by Medical Colleges, Hospitals, Nursing Homes on the basis of the results of DNB (Diplomate of National Board) Exams. As a UK postgraduate medical qualification, awarded by the British Universities, is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) as a valid postgraduate qualification as per the official Medical Council of India website.
According to the present era, Post-graduation degrees from only five English speaking countries- The U.S., UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada; are recognized in India by India's Medical Education Regulator. PG Degrees from Russia and China are still not valid in India.
