Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM)  is established in 1980 , and has  19 institutes across the three campuses.  It is ranked 84th amongst the top Indian universities in its university rankings in 2019 by NIRF.

In previous year (as per college provided data ) , 134 students were placed in 31 leading corporations . The recruiting companies are mainly  Nestle, ICICI Group, HDFC Bank, Bajaj General Insurance, TCS, Reliance, Big Bazaar and HBD Financial Services.

Also , it has a good infrastructure and academic quality.

Whereas , VIT Vellore , is established in 1984 , offers 32 postgraduate, 43 undergraduate, two research and four integrated programmes.

This institute is also ranked by NIRF : 18 (NIRF 2019- Engineering) , 19 (NIRF 2019- University) and 32 (NIRF 2019- Overall). So , in ranking definitely VIT is good.

In placements , it has a very good record. In the placement season of 2018-19, 690 well-reputed companies took part in campus recruitment and made 6180 job offers were made to the students (As per college data).

Recruiting companies includes ,Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Amazon, Google, HSBC Bank, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Titan, Philips, ITC, Yamaha, Whirlpool, Volvo, PayPal, Vodafone, Britannia, Dell, TVS, Tata, Yatra.com, Honda, and many others.

Highest package is around 42 lacks.
