There are different types of synovial joints. For eg - ball-and-socket joint ( also called as shoulder joint), hinge joint ( or knee joint), pivot joint ( or also known as atlantoaxial joint), condyloid joint ( or also called as radiocarpal joint of the wrist), saddle joint (first carpometacarpal joint) , etc.
