National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the admission to Navy, Air Force and Army. NDA/NA is conducted twice a year in April and September. NDA I is conducted in April while NDA 2 is held in September. As per the eligibility criteria only male candidates who are unmarried and are between 16.5 to 19.5 years. The exam is conducted in two stages – written and Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview.

As per NDA exam pattern, the written exam had two papers - General Ability Test (GAT) and Mathematics. The exam was conducted for 2 ½ hours separately.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the online application form of NDA (1) 2019 on January 9. Candidates will be able to register for the exam till February 4.

Age limit

Candidates must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years.

Candidates applying for Army Wing of National Defence Academy should be 12th pass or 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination and Candidates applying Air Force and Naval Wings  of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at  the Indian Naval Academy must be 12th or equivalent examination  with Physics and Mathematics
