Given, FMS Delhi has 12 seats for CW category. What are the chances of someone belonging to CW6 category to make it through? Do all the seats fill out before it reaches CW6?
The selection process includes 3 stage method. They are:
- Eligibility Criteria
- Group Discussion and Personal Interview
- Final Selection
The basic eligibility criteria remains 50% aggregate for General Category in Graduation and 45% for Reserved Categories or equivalent CGPA from any recognised University. The percentiles in CAT are considered for the further rounds. In 2018, the weightage given for various sections of CAT have been as follows:
QA: 30%
DILR: 30%
VARC: 40%
An additional 3 marks are added to the Composite score in case of women for shortlisting. This score is used only for shortlisting Candidates for Personal Interview. The weightage for Final selection is as follows:
Personal Interview: 15%
CAT score: 60%
Group Discussion: 10%
Extempore: 5%
10th marks: 5%
12th marks: 5%
An additional 3 marks of the maximum aggregate will be added to the women candidates who have attended the Interview. Now regarding the CW seats, it also depends on your CAT percentile. Though the CW level matters, it is your Academic profile and also CAT percentile that play a role. To be considered for FMS, you will need nothing less than 97 percentile. If you can manage that and have a decent Academic profile, you can make it to FMS.
The revised selection criteria states 10% each for Xth and XIIth marks above 75%. And a 10% weightage for discussion on Statement of Purpose. No GD. Given the above, would you suggest I go ahead with the application under CW6, considering I have above 75% in both 10th and 12th and going by predictions on raw score I'm expecting anything above 95 percentile on a low and around 97 on a high. I have 30 months IT work ex if that is considered too.
